Everyone can learn to meditate, and even just a few short minutes a day can really transform your health and wellbeing.
It is well known that meditation can have some really positive effects.
- Reduce stress
- Lessen anxiety
- Help with concentration
- Help you feel better overall.
The first meditation is designed to relax the mind and body and induce calm in a really short time.
The second meditation takes you on a journey to connect with your inner, wise self in order to get clarity and peace.
Try a meditation for seven days and see the results for yourself!
- Settle yourself somewhere you won’t be disturbed.
- Make sure you’re comfortable
- Switch off your phone
- Take two or three deep breaths
- Press play and close your eyes
- Follow the instructions.
When you have finished, open your eyes, stretch your body and slowly put your focus back on your surroundings.
Slowly get up and continue your day. You may also want to journal your experience so that you can follow your progress.
This is a short meditation that helps you begin to learn how to relax.
All you need to do is follow my voice as it works with each part of your body to induce relaxation. Because it is a short meditation (8 minutes) you can fit it in easily within your day.
This meditation takes you on a journey to connect to the deepest part of yourself – that all knowing, limitless spark of All That Is.
By connecting to this inner stillness, you can access peace, gain clarity and also find resolution for any issues you may be facing.
I often get asked about the music I play in The Healing Room, as listening to certain types of music can also have an extremely beneficial and relaxing effect on the mind. I tend to use a combination of Spotify and YouTube and have included some of my favourites here:
If you sit quietly and listen to the above music whilst also deepening your breathing, even just for ten minutes, you will find yourself feeling much, MUCH calmer and more at peace with the world.
